Damn, I suck at keeping up with regular entries.. :/ I wish I could say that I will do better next time, but I probably won't..
Been REAL busy with etsy stuff - so happy! I hope I can keep listing new things along with working on my print, since it looks like things are going pretty darn good, but yeah - busy!!
I've set a date for my print release (or at least samples to be done and published) - 20th or August. Hopefully I will have a certain pressure to make it happen now. Also, I'm having a little get-together with my old co-workers and I just want to brag how much I kick ass without the job
Very self-centered, I know
But as I've discovered, many successful people are self-centered.. or perhaps I should say - they like to prove they're better than anyone else thinks.
This is probably going to dent my public reputation of being humble
I am, but after these words it'll be quite hard to believe that
I guess there is a fine line between believing in yourself and being narcissistic.
Speaking of narcissism, my name's been published in two local magazines recently!! Got my 15 minutes of fame, lol
One is in an interview with one of my clients - the actress Inita Dzelme. She is starring in local tv series (something along the lines of "sex and the city") and had been interviewed about her wardrobe. She had featured the classic ensemble I made for her and mentioned my name! It feels a bit surrealm I still can't believe that happened
Second was just a silly street snapshot from a fashion show I went to, with a bit of text about me, that I'm a upcoming designer and that I'll soon have a line to show. Once I saw that on paper, it was a bit like a brick hit me - I need that print OUT! Like, seriously. I need to find some willpower in myself to kick me in the butt and say "get this shit done!". You can't imagine how hard it is to make myself do something - I'm such a procrastinator!
Ok, enough about me, let's talk about YOU! Yes - you! You, ladies and gentlemen are AWESOME! I mean, the amount of feedback I get - it totally makes my day and certainly does not go unnoticed!
I really wish I had a couple more hours in the day, so I could thank each and every one of you.. or a couple of hundred, so that I can just go to your house, tell you you're awesome, hug you and give you a basket full of cookies. With rainbow sprinkles. and chocolate chips. and the minute you bite into first one - a beverage of your choice appears in your hand. Yes. That'd be rad!
But it really does matter. I can see that that somebody appreciates my work and encourages me to carry on and better myself - it's great. Thank you!
Have a wonderful day and take care,
